Manama, Bahrain, 26 April 2015 –Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain, H.E.Shaikh Khalid, had a meeting on Sunday with the new Ambassador H.E. Mr. Qi Zhenhong. Ambassador Qi presented his credentials copy and conveyed the cordial greetings from H.E. Mr. Wang Yi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China,

    Ambassador Qi said he was pleased to assume the office as the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of Bahrain. “China and Bahrain are good friends of mutual reliance and good partners of sincere cooperation.” He said. He also expressed the desire to jointly work with Bahraini Side to push the friendly bilateral relations to a new high.

    Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid warmly welcomed Ambassador Mr Qi and expressed his willingness that he would provide all necessary support and convenience. The Minister also conveyed the warmest greeting to his Chinese Counterpart. “As an important pillar of global stability, the Middle East policy of China is the most responsible one in the world. Participation of China is essential to address many issues of the world nowadays.” He added.

    Closer communication and further cooperation in various fields between the two countries were highlighted by both sides during the meeting as well.
