Manama, Bahrain, Evening of July 12 -- H.R.H. Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy Supreme Commander, and First Deputy Prime Minister met with H.E. Ambassador Qi Zhenhong at Riffa Palace. H.E. Khalifa bin Daij Al Khalifa, President of Crown Prince Court attended the meeting.

Ambassador Qi firstly conveyed the cordial greetings from H.E. Mr. Li Yuanchao, Vice President of China to Prince Salman. The Prince Salman expressed his thanks and requested Ambassador Qi to convey his sincere greetings to Vice President Li.

Prince Salman highly appreciated the great achievement in economic and social development of China. He expressed the both countries have been maintaining the good relations, and have deepening cooperation in various fields. Bahrain is willing to encourage more and more Bahraini youth to study and exchange in China, which lay a solid foundation for long-term development of bilateral relations.

Ambassador Qi expressed the pleasure of working in Bahrain. He said "the bilateral friendship has been deepening, the mutually beneficial cooperation has been expanding, and there is no thorny issue at present between our two countries. The Chinese government has raised the 'One Belt & One Road' initiative, which will promote international cooperation on production capacity, and bring historic opportunities of bilateral relations. As a new ambassador, I'm glad to be with Bahrain people, to implement the consensus of the leaders, and create more benefit to the people of both countries."
